Have you ever experienced a place where you knew your response was more extreme than the situation deserved but did not know why the intensity was so strong? Stress is often the cause. The stress might be the building pressure of life until it reaches "the straw that broke the camel's back." Or, it could be stress that is a result of a trauma - a single event (e.g., an accident, being the victim of a crime, past or current loss of a person, a relationship, or a stage of life change) or compounded stressful life experiences (e.g., child abuse, abusive relationship, or continually feeling unsafe).
These past or current experiences can make it feel like you are carrying an emotional backpack full of rocks. I work with clients to unpack these rocks by identifying what is getting in their way, helping them chart their course to healing, and journeying with them to completion. Together we can unload that backpack and move you from feeling weighed down to learning to cope with and process stress. This freedom is life-changing!
My passion is synergistically blending the powerful benefits of traditional talk therapy, EMDR, and experiential therapies. I specialize in intensive session packages and adjunct EMDR sessions allowing you to receive specialized trauma therapy while keeping your current therapist. I have found this therapy model to be the most efficient way to gain personal transformation.
I also provide educational resources through presentations, seminars, and online courses. The seminars can be catered to the need of your group or organization. I am offering the Burnout Buster Blueprint to assist people who work with people - teachers, nurses, HR professionals, parents, and others - to heal from and/or prevent burnout.
