Transformation from Trauma

Intensive therapy for busy people
seeking healing and happiness.

traditional
therapy

  • Offers weekly or bi-weekly hour-long appointments.

  • Provides long-term support on a range of issues.

  • Creates steady progress over several months of sessions.

  • Maintains consistent, long-term relationship with client and therapist.

intensive
therapy

  • Offers longer appointment lengths (3-4 hours)

  • Creates sustained focus on specific objectives, making efficient results in resolving indentified issues and triggers.

  • Results in significant measurable progress with deep insights gained in hours instead of weeks or months.

  • Optimizes results when packaged to provide known time and financial cost.

Typical therapy appointments allow around 40 minutes of focused work in a 60-minute session. Instead of 160 minutes of focused work in four 1-hour sessions, one 4-hour intensive allows for 220 minutes of focused processing. That is one hour more processing in the same amount of time in therapy. It also allows deeper processing to occur sooner; often allowing insights that typically arise only after months of therapy.

I live near the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Let's say I wanted to explore my way through the 325, 000 square feet of exhibits once a week on my hour-long lunch break.

Arriving each week, I would need to reorient myself to pick up where I left off last time. After losing myself in exploring and learning the exhibits, I need to reorient to the present and give myself enough time to return to the exit. My actual focused time is less than the hour scheduled.

Through intensive therapy, we can stay focused on your goals and targets to get more done with less time out of your schedule. I work with clients to pack the backpack of rocks by identifying what is getting in their way, helping them to chart their course to healing and journeying with them to completion.
